Financial Gift
The Museum accepts donations of any amount, large or small. These donations go into the general fund and will be used for exhibit materials, educational programming, archival supplies and museum operations. Contributions are tax-deductible. Educational Program supports programming and publications for schoolchildren as well as lecture and film series, special events, and family activities. Exhibits provides support for changing exhibits on loan from other museums as well as exhibits organized by the Andrew County Museum. Collection Care allows the Museum to improve care for the artifacts in its collection. Genealogy Department helps fund acquisition of new resources and the upgrading of technology to share information with residents and visitors.
Museum Memorials
A donation can be made to the Andrew County Museum in memory of a loved one. A notice will be sent to the family informing them of the donation.
Sponsorships
The Andrew county Museum Staff and Volunteers help raise funds annually during local events like the Winter Event. Underwriters of fundraising events make those events more beneficial to the museum and can take advantage of marketing opportunities for the sponsor.
Endowments
Donors wishing to designate endowment support for a particular area of operations and programming may do so. The income from the endowment fund supports the mission of the Andrew County Museum and Historical Society. Endowment contributors of $25,000 or more, or those who designate an equal amount in their estate planning, will receive special recognition.
Artifacts
Materials depicting the everyday life of people in Andrew County is the basis of the Museum’s Collection. The Museum collects materials which document the history of Andrew County and its relationship to Missouri and the nation. As historians, staff look for objects with stories to tell. You may contact the Museum for specific policies concerning artifact donations.
