How did our ancestors make soap and homemade remedies? Join us as we explore homemade goods that assisted in everyday cleanliness and good health. Cheryl Mitchell, owner of Miss Doyle’s Soapery, will be dressed as Miss Doyle and will teach us about the steps of soap making during the mid to late 1800s. Taking a look at 19th century herb gardens, Mitchell will also explore medicinal herbs that were indigenous to Northwest Missouri.
