A private, not-for-profit organization, the Andrew County Museum is housed in a modern 14,000 sq. ft. facility donated by Harry F. Duncan. The Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving and interpreting the county’s rich history.The museum presents the county’s history in the award-winning Rural Way of Life exhibit.

With interactive components, videos, and plenty of familiar faces from the history of Andrew County, the exhibit has been described as “interesting and exciting!” and “modern and fresh” by Savannah High School students. After a visit to Andrew County Museum Geoff Giglierano, executive director of the Missouri Humanities Council, said “Simply put, I was blown away by what they have accomplished.” The success of the exhibit has been recently recognized as a Governor’s Humanities Award winner for Exemplary Community Achievement.The museum continues the success of the exhibit by working with local schools and community organizations to provide unique educational experiences for children and families in the county.Mission StatementThe Andrew County Museum engages visitors in learning about the county’s past to understand and appreciate a rural way of life. The museum does this by collecting, preserving, researching and interpreting the history of Andrew County-its families, farms, towns, social life and community spirit–through dynamic exhibits, programs, publications, and events.

Directions
The Andrew County Museum is located in Duncan Memorial Park, next to the Clasbey Community Center and the Duncan Hills Golf Course, just off 71 Highway and only one mile from downtown Savannah, with shops and restaurants. Savannah is twenty minutes north of St. Joseph, Missouri and 65 miles north of Kansas City.
From St. Joseph or Kansas City: Take I-29 north to exit 53 (Savannah, Business 71). Turn right onto US 71 for 6.3 miles, turn right on N. Arbor St., then take the first right onto E. Duncan Drive. The Museum is on the right.

Meeting Space Rental
The Andrew County Museum Duncan Gallery is available for rental when not occupied by a temporary exhibit or museum program. The museum can provide chairs and tables to seat up to 75. Food and drink are welcome in the Duncan Gallery but leaders of a group are responsible for ensuring that no food or drink is taken into exhibit areas.
Rental rates for meetings held during the museum’s regular business hours are as follows:
- Room Rental: $50
- Set Up and Tear Down fee: $25
